Jason Van Niel was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. He began learning and perfecting the skills needed for the remodeling business by working along side his father at the age of 14. He was a fast learner and a diligent worker and developed a great pride in what it means to build something with his own two hands. After high school Jason’s love for construction led him to join the Bricklayer and Allied Craft Workers Union Local #5 as a Marble Mason. He studied under skilled experts in the trade and soon became certified in Marble Masonry, Stone Masonry and Bricklaying. Jason has worked nationwide installing Granite and Marble facades, floors, fountains and custom projects. Some of these include Jean-Philippe’s Patisserie in the Bellagio Spa Tower in Las Vegas, NV; The Heritage at Millennium Park in Chicago, IL; St. Marks Catholic Church in Southwest Ranches, FL; Our Lady of the Seas Catholic Church in Buxton, NC; Neiman Marcus in Scottsdale, AZ; The Mexican Embassy in Washington, DC; Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage in Beachwood, OH; Park East Synagogue in Pepper Pike, OH; The Federal Reserve Bank in Cleveland, OH; The Cleveland Museum of Art in Cleveland, OH; The Cleveland State University Ziggurat Fountain in Cleveland, OH. In 2006, Jason was awarded The Builders Exchange Craftsmanship Award from The Cleveland Builders Exchange in recognition of his exceptional craftsmanship for The Ziggurat Fountain at Cleveland State University.
